Tea estates across India to get refund of cess
GUWAHATI: Tea estates across the India will get refund of the tea cess which was collected since 2004. This involves substantial money.
Union Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, Central Board of Excise & Customs vide circular No. 978/2/2014-CX clarified that the Education Cess payable under Section 93(1) of the Finance (No.2) Act 2004 and the Secondary and Higher Education Cess under Section 138(1) of the Finance Act 2007 being paid on Tea Cess levied under the Tea Act 195 ..
